A Newer Form of Covid Symptoms: Covid Toes

Doctors around the world have noticed specific symptoms among COVID patients as discolored and swollen toes, commonly known as covid toes.
Experts believe that COVID toes are the result of an immune response to coronavirus infection. It may be a delayed immune response to a past SARS-CoV-2 infection.
Another study suggests that walking barefoot in the rooms, or lack of physical movement could be the causes of covid toes.
According to the American Academy of Dermatology Association (AAD), the condition may affect a person's fingers and toes.
A person may initially feel swollen toes with redness, inflammation, and discoloration of the skin.
Other symptoms that can be seen are blisters, pain, itching to the affected area, painful raised bumps. In severe cases, a small amount of pus can also be developed under the skin.
To reduce the severity of the symptoms hydrocortisone cream should be applied
to the affected area.
